Reflection: We have all heard Albert Einstein’s famous words, but how often do we actually apply them to our daily lives? When we’re navigating life as a woman without kids, it’s so easy to fall into a heavy, repetitive routine. We can spend our days sitting in the muck of disappointment, overthinking every detail, and waiting for our mood and circumstances to magically shift. But the truth is, if we are sick and tired of feeling down while continuing to do the same things everyday, we are always going to land right back in the same spot.
There comes a point when we have to decide to stop marinating in our own crap, get out of our heads, and move. While we can’t change the reality that we don't have children, we retain complete power over what we can have. Instead of allowing our mind to constantly dwell on what is missing, it is time to deliberately shift our focus to what we want to build. We do not need a massive, life-altering epiphany to get started; we just need to alter our direction by a single degree and stop overthinking the first step.
If you’re craving adventure, start planning a trip, even if it is just a weekend drive to a nearby town you’ve never explored. If you feel isolated and want better, deeper relationships, stop waiting for others to take the lead, and reach out to someone today. If you need more excitement in your week, sign up for a class in something you know absolutely nothing about.
Life will not automatically become exciting or fulfilling on its own—you have to actively create that momentum for yourself. Small, intentional changes disrupt the cycle and open the door to new energy. This will help prove to your brain that you are capable of choosing a different direction.
Shake up your routine this week, step into something new, and go directly after the things you want more of in this life. - Caroline Bloss

Self Care Tip: Pick 1 tiny, routine-disrupting action today that takes fewer than five minutes. Do not overthink it, plan it, or wait until you feel "ready." It can be as simple as driving home on a completely unfamiliar route or eating a food you’ve never had before. Just change things up!
