Reflection: I didn’t find the garden because I had a green thumb. I found it because I needed somewhere to put my nurturing. It began during COVID, when screens became our window to the world. One day a small box of succulents arrived- 12 tiny plants, perfectly symmetrical and still.
Caring for them became a silent conversation. I watched how they leaned toward the light and slowly learned their language: wrinkled leaves meant thirst, fallen leaves sometimes meant new life. Not all 12 survived, and I felt the sting of that loss.
But, some fallen leaves rooted and grew again. The garden taught me something I needed to know: nurturing does not disappear simply because motherhood didn’t unfold the way we imagined. -Adriana Rodriguez-Baptiste

Self Care Tip: Plants naturally lean toward light and humans do too. Today, take a moment today to ask yourself: Where is the light in my life right now? It might be a conversation, a quiet walk, a favorite song, or a moment of rest. Like plants, we don’t need to force growth and that’s because sometimes we just need to notice where the light is and turn toward it.
