Reflection: Many of us fall into the trap of becoming professional self-help information gatherers. We soak up the information like a sponge, but we forget to do the actual work of changing. We’re always hunting for the next guru or hero, convinced that just one more podcast or YouTube video will be the missing piece that finally fixes everything for us. I stayed stuck in that loop for years because, honestly, the rush of watching a YouTube video on self-confidence for example, felt way better than taking any kind of action. I’d listen for hours, hoping that confidence would just rub off on me - it never did.

I finally had to admit that while inspiration feels good, it’s not a replacement for practice. My work was to start assuming the state of confidence. The truth is, you already know enough and you just have to trust yourself. We spend so much time looking outward for answers that we keep out our own intuition. Real growth starts when we stop researching and start listening to our inner world more than the outside noise. There’s a huge difference between knowing about the path and actually walking it. Yes, it’s awkward to try on new ways of thinking and acting, but that discomfort is the price of admission for change. - Caroline Bloss

Self Care Tip: Put down the book. Turn off the podcast. Close the tab. Believe that you already know enough to start because you do. The most caring thing you can do for yourself right now is to stop searching and start being.
