Reflection: Thanksgiving is a moment to pause and take in the life you’re living, even if it looks different from what you once pictured. Maybe you hoped to be somewhere else by now, yet here you are. Different doesn’t have to mean worse - it simply means life is unfolding in its own way. And within that unfolding, there is so much to notice, to honor, and to be grateful for.
Gratitude is powerful and can shift everything! It’s not about pretending the hard stuff doesn’t exist but it’s about laser beaming your focus on those things that bring you joy. At first, it might feel forced to pay special attention to the glow of a candle, the bird that lands on the tree branch right outside your window, or the comfort of thick socks on a cold day but when you intentionally spotlight the good stuff the noticing becomes a habit. You become less interested in seeking out worry because you’ve experienced the stark contrast between feeling good and feeling fearful. So today, I invite you to notice all of the good in your life. Notice who and what you have around you. - Caroline Bloss
