We’ve come to understand how important it is to name what we’re experiencing. Without that, it’s hard to begin healing.
Let’s unpack this:
I’ve learned that naming what I’m experiencing is a vital part of my healing. When I can put a word to my emotions, it gives me a sense of control rather than feeling overwhelmed by them. By naming my feelings, I’m not just acknowledging them, I’m also validating my own experience. The day I learned that all of the painful emotions I was experiencing was actually disenfranchised grief it felt like I finally came up for air. - Caroline Bloss
