Healing Through Connection

At Healing Roots, we bridge the gap for people who are navigating the complex terrain of childlessness.

We understand being an adult without children can be an isolating experience because it is a societal expectation. We understand that this experience can lead you to feel “othered.”

We understand the range of feelings when you find yourself at family gatherings, social situations or work functions and the inevitable question comes up — “Do you have children?”

Our mission is to create a fertile ground of shared experiences to grow a community of empathy and hope.

A tool that we use includes gardening and caring for houseplants because we have found that through nature's embrace we can heal the ache of childlessness, together.

We believe that by nurturing nature we nurture ourselves. We strive to cultivate a compassionate community where shared grief blossoms into healing, with gardens as our gentle companions.

Our goal is to create a village of connections for people who can support one another when their family and friends can’t meet their needs.

  • Grief can be overwhelming and can include sadness, anger, guilt, or confusion.

  • Acknowledging and processing our emotions is crucial for healing and it is important to express them in a healthy way.

  • Connecting with nature through gardening can be a path towards healing and nourishment.
